Introducing Daily Email Digests
Too many alerts? Our new daily digest feature consolidates all your monitor activity into one clean email. Stay informed without inbox overload.
PageDrifter Team
The team behind PageDrifter, building the best website change detection tool.
We heard you: individual alerts for every change can get overwhelming. That's why we built daily email digests—a single, consolidated summary of all your monitor activity.
What's New
Daily digests give you a bird's-eye view of everything that happened across your monitors in the past 24 hours:
- Changes detected - Which pages changed and when
- No-change confirmations - Pages that remained stable
- Failed checks - Any monitors that encountered errors
- Quick stats - Total checks run, change rate, uptime
One email. Everything you need to know. Delivered when you want it.
Why We Built This
Power users often monitor dozens—sometimes hundreds—of pages. Getting an individual email for each change creates noise:
- Important changes get buried in alert fatigue
- Your inbox becomes a wall of monitoring notifications
- You start ignoring alerts, defeating the purpose
Daily digests solve this by batching activity into a scannable summary. You get the same information with far less interruption.
Flexibility
You can use digests alongside instant alerts. Get immediate notifications for critical monitors, daily summaries for the rest.
How It Works
Setting Up Your Digest
- Go to Settings → Email Preferences
- Enable "Daily Digest"
- Choose your preferred delivery time
- Select which monitors to include (or include all)
What's in the Digest
Each daily digest email contains:
Summary Section
- Total monitors checked
- Number of changes detected
- Number of errors or issues
Changes Section
- List of pages that changed
- Timestamp of each change
- Direct link to view the diff
Stable Pages Section (optional)
- Confirmation that watched pages haven't changed
- Useful for compliance monitoring
Issues Section
- Any monitors that failed to check
- Suggested troubleshooting steps
Delivery Timing
Choose when to receive your digest:
| Time | Best For |
|---|---|
| 6:00 AM | Review changes before your workday starts |
| 9:00 AM | Check during morning coffee |
| 6:00 PM | End-of-day summary before signing off |
| Custom | Set any time that works for your schedule |
All times are in your local timezone.
Combining Digests with Instant Alerts
Digests don't replace instant alerts—they complement them. Here's a smart setup:
Instant alerts for:
- Critical competitor pricing pages
- Your own website's key pages
- Time-sensitive regulatory updates
Daily digest for:
- General competitor monitoring
- Industry news sources
- Job board tracking
- Low-priority watchlist items
This way, urgent changes reach you immediately while everything else arrives in a tidy daily summary.
Digest Customization
Include/Exclude Monitors
Not every monitor needs to be in your digest. Exclude monitors that:
- Already send instant alerts
- Are for testing or development
- Track pages you check manually
"No Changes" Reports
By default, digests only show monitors that detected changes. But for compliance monitoring, you might want confirmation that nothing changed. Enable "Include stable monitors" to see a full report.
Multiple Digests
Need different summaries for different projects? Create multiple digests with different monitor groups:
- "Competitor Digest" - All competitor monitors, 9 AM
- "Compliance Digest" - Legal and regulatory pages, 6 PM
- "Team Digest" - Shared monitors, sent to your whole team
Email Preferences
While we were building digests, we also improved email preferences overall:
- Unsubscribe from specific monitors - Stop alerts from one monitor without affecting others
- Pause all emails - Temporary email hold during vacations
- Email frequency limits - Cap the number of alerts per day
Find all these options in Settings → Email Preferences.
Try Daily Digests
Daily digests are available now for all PageDrifter users on paid plans.
To get started:
- Log in to your PageDrifter dashboard
- Go to Settings → Email Preferences
- Enable Daily Digest and choose your time
You'll receive your first digest within 24 hours.
